Matt Allgyer, Lancaster, Pa., is a counselor at MMA's office in Lancaster. He is a graduate of Grove City (Pa.) College. Allgyer lives in Lancaster with his wife Leisel and two children. They attend Westminster Presbyterian Church.
Brian Black
Brian Black, Lititz, Pa., practices law for Gibbel, Kraybill. He is a graduate of Villanova (Pa.) University School of Law and also has degrees from Franklin and Marshall College, Lancaster. Black is also an ordained minister at Middle Creek Church of the Brethren. He is a member of the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys, Elder Law Section of the Pennsylvania Bar Association, and Chair (2006) of Elder Law Section of Lancaster County Bar Association. He is a frequent speaker on topics of estate and stewardship planning. He and his wife Laurie have four children.

Dale Fry
Dale Fry is a counselor at MMA's office in Mount Joy. He is a graduate of the University of the State of New York, Albany, and earned his M. Div from Evangelical School of Theology, Myerstown, Pa. He has served as a pastor for 21 years in Central Pa. and was a volunteer chaplain over the years for several retirement communities and hospitals.
Rose Fry
Rose Fry attends and serves in leadership at Evangelical Free Church of Hershey. She is a graduate of Messiah College, Grantham, Pa., and has three adult daughters.

Linford Good
Linford Good, Mount Joy, Pa., is vice president of planning and marketing at Landis Homes. He is a graduate of Eastern Mennonite University and earned his masters in public administration in healthcare management from Penn State. Good is involved with building LEED registered homes for seniors and designing flood plain restoration. He and his wife Beth Ann have two children and attend Mount Joy Mennonite church.
Peter Greer
Peter Greer is President of HOPE International, a global non-profit organization focused on alleviating both physical and spiritual poverty through microenterprise development. He was formerly employed by World Relief, serving as a microfinance advisor, and has managed Rwanda’s URWEGO Community Banking. He is a graduate of Messiah College and earned his master’s degree in public policy from Harvard’s Kennedy School. Greer, who lives in Lancaster, Pa., with his wife Laurel and their three children, co-authored a book, The Poor Will Be Glad, with Phil Smith that released from Zondervan in October 2009.
Eric Groff*
Eric Groff has been with MMA's Lancaster office since 1994. He is a graduate of Millersville University and has earned the Chartered Financial Consultant designation (ChFC). Groff and his wife Glenda have three children and attend Stumptown Mennonite Church, where he serves as director of finance.
David Hagenbuch
David Hagenbuch teaches business ethics and marketing classes, many of which include service learning projects for local nonprofit organizations. He has served on the Community of Educators senate and steering committee, led the Department of Management & Business’ Service Day Project, and developed the Department’s Senior Send-Off event. He is currently Chair of Messiah College’s Ranked Faculty. He is a graduate of Messiah College and earned his master’s in business administration from Temple University, and his doctorate from Anderson University. Before teaching, he worked in business nearly 10 years, first as a corporate sales analyst for a national Christian radio network and then as a partner in his family’s specialty advertising agency. Hagenbuch and his wife Lili have two children and live in Mechanicsburg. They attend Grantham Brethren in Christ Church.

Bruce Hartshorne
Bruce Hartshorne is vice president of resident services for Tel Hai Retirement Community, Honey Brook, Pa., and has worked 16 years in continuing care retirement community executive management. He is a founding member of CARE, Ltd., an insurance captive providing coverage continuing care retirement communities and has been a presenter at national conferences of the American Association of Homes and Services for the Aging (AAHSA) and the Mennonite Health Assembly (MHA). Hartshorne serves as a national surveyor for the Commission for the Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF). He is a graduate of West Chester University. He and his wife Linda attend Manor Presbyterian Church, Cochranville, Pa.
Kent Hartzler
Kent Hartzler, Lancaster, Pa., serves as president and CEO of Mennonite Financial Federal Credit Union. Prior to this role, he was vice president of lending and business development for the credit union. Hartzler recently earned his master’s in business administration from Penn State. He and his wife Stephanie have three daughters and attend Mountville Mennonite Church.
Val Hastings
Val Hastings, PCC, Douglassville, Pa., is founder and president of Coaching4Clergy. He received his professional certified coach certificate from the International Coach Federation. Hastings is a certified graduate and faculty member of Coach University. He is a graduate of Albright College and earned his M.Div from the Theological School of Drew University in Madison, N.J. He is an ordained pastor of the United Methodist Church for more than 20 years. With his wife Wendy he has two daughters.
Scott Heintzelman
Scott Heintzelman is a partner with McKonly & Asbury in Camp Hill, Pa., and serves as director of the consulting team. He is a certified management accountant and a certified fraud examiner, and a certified public accountant. He is a frequent guest lecturer on the subjects of performance measurement, wealth transfer, fraud prevention, and internal controls. Heintzelman is a member of the board of trustees of Messiah College, where he is also a 1989 alumnus. He is a member of the board of directors for the Naaman Center, a faith-based drug and alcohol treatment center in Lancaster County, and is a member of the Southcentral Regional Board of The Second Mile. He is an active member of the Country and Town Baptist Church in Mechanicsburg, Pa. He and his wife Gaye are parents of three children.
Phil Hostetler
Phil Hostetler, Lancaster, Pa., is a counselor at McCaskey High School. He is the counselor liaison working with the Career Access Center, supporting 9th-12th graders in their career and college choices. Hostetler is a graduate of Eastern Mennonite College and earned his master’s in education from Millersville University. He and his wife Gwendolyn attend Neffsville Mennonite Church.
Ted Houser
Ted Houser is the owner of Ninja Fast Consulting, a Web marketing and development company in Lancaster, Pa. Ninja Fast helps individuals, businesses, and organizations with Web strategies for a socially-networked economy. He graduated with a degree in Communications and Art from Goshen (Ind.) College.
Steve Huber
Steve Huber, Mt. Gretna, Pa., works at Philhaven Behavioral Healthcare Services where he is a clinical coordinator for the Employee Assistance Program and a clinical therapist with the Extended Acute Inpatient Unit. Huber is a graduate of Albright College and earned his master’s of social work from Temple University. He and his wife Michelle have two children.
Beryl Jantzi
Beryl Jantzi, Harrisonburg, Va., is Stewardship Education Director for MMA as well as moderator for Virginia Mennonite Conference. Previously, he was an MMA church relations manager and had served as a church pastor 23 years, 13 of those in congregational youth ministry. Jantzi is a graduate of the University of Waterloo, Ontario, Canada, and earned his master’s of divinity from Eastern Mennonite Seminary, Harrisonburg, Va., and his doctorate in ministry from Lancaster (Pa.) Theological Seminary. He is married to Margo and has two daughters, Rose and Melissa.
Linford King
Linford King is a Mennonite Church USA denominational minister. He earned his M.Div from Associated Mennonite Biblical Seminary, Elkhart, Ind., and his D. Min. from Palmer Seminary. King has been a pastor 20 years. He and his wife Mary Etta attend East Chestnut Street Mennonite Church. They have two adult sons and two granddaughters.
Mary Etta King
Mary Etta King is the executive director of Kairos School of Spiritual Formation. She is trained as a spiritual director and received her master’s degree from Associated Mennonite Biblical Seminary, Elkhart, Ind. King and her husband, Linford, attend East Chestnut Street Mennonite Church. They have two adult sons and two granddaughters.
Jay Kready, CSA*
Jay Kready is a counselor with MMA's offiice in Mount Joy, specializing in insurance and financial services, since 2002. He is a graduate of Pennsylvania State University and has acquired the training and expertise to help people (and businesses) meet their goals for personal protection and financial services. Kready is married to Jennifer. They have three children and attend Erisman Mennonite Church.
Karl Landis
Karl Landis is the director of leadership development of the Lancaster Mennonite Conference. He earned his masters degree in theology from Gordon Conwell Theological Seminary, Charlotte, N.C., and his Ph.D. in sociology from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor. Karl has served as adjunct professor at HACC and at Eastern Mennonite University. For five years, he has taught leadership and the capstone “leadership project” on leading congregational change for graduates of the STEP program. In addition, he has led seminars and retreats on the topic and served as a consultant for many years to church congregations navigating change. Landis and his wife Nita and their three children attend Mellinger Mennonite Church.
Steve Lane
Steve Lane is senior pastor of the Elizabethtown Brethren in Christ Church. He has taught at Messiah College since 1999, for the Brethren in Christ denomination, and for an urban initiative of Evangelical Theological Seminary. He serves as the BIC representative on MMA’s board and has a particular interest in integrating faith and finances. Lane earned his M.Div. and D.Min. degrees from Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary, Hamilton, Mass. He and his wife Liz have been married 12 years and have two sons, Michael and Scott. Their family enjoys the outdoors and many activities including sports, boating, hiking, and reading.
Allon Lefever
Allon Lefever recently resigned as director of the Master’s in Business Administration program at Eastern Mennonite University to launch several new companies, including a hospitality company. Lefever, who spent the bulk of his career in business, serves on numerous corporate and church boards.
Steve Lindsey
Steve Lindsey is the chief executive officer of Garden Spot Village, a CCRC in New Holland, Pa. He has more than 15 years of administrative experience in both the retirement community and rehabilitation hospital fields. Lindsey is a licensed nursing home administrator. He is a graduate of Messiah College and has a master’s in social work from Temple University. He is involved in numerous nonprofit boards and has been a frequent speaker at regional, state, and national conferences.
Nelson Longenecker
Nelson Longenecker, Elizabethtown, Pa., is vice president of business innovation at Four Seasons Produce, Inc. which is an ENERGY STAR facility and a 2009 PennFuture Green Power awardee. He is a graduate of Eastern Mennonite University, and earned his master’s in business administration from the University of Wisconsin. Longenecker and his wife Danielle have two children and attend Mount Joy Mennonite Church.
Yvonne Martin
Yvonne Martin, Harrisburg, Pa., has taught statistics and marketing courses at Messiah College, since 1981. She is a graduate of Indiana University of Pennsylvania and earned her master’s in business administration from Penn State (University Park location). She also edits the newsletter, Beyond the Bottom Line, and has served on numerous committees at Messiah including the Academic Council, College Council, Senate, Ranked Faculty, Book Store Review Committee, and the Integrated Marketing Committee. Martin was the chair of Ten Thousand Villages U.S./International Board of Directors more than nine years and serves on the executive committee of MEDA (Mennonite Economic Development Associates) and the board of MMA Community Development Investments. She is a member of Grantham Brethren in Christ Church and has four adult children.
Scott Mitchell
Scott Mitchell is a partner with law firm of Gibbel Kraybill & Hess LLP. He received his degrees from Millersville University and Regent University School of Law. Mitchell is a frequent speaker in the areas of special needs planning, elder law, and estate planning and administration. He and his wife have three children. He is a deacon and founding member of All Saints Presbyterian Church, in Akron, Pa.
Wanda Shenk*
Wanda Shenk, Lancaster, Pa., is an associate consultant at MMA's office in Mount Joy. She serves in various capacities at Neffsville Mennonite Church and is an active teacher/trainer for Good $ense Ministries. Shenk enjoys working with people and helping them reach their God-given goals. She and her husband Stanley have one son.
W. Lee Shertzer, CFP*
W. Lee Shertzer is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ and is managing counselor at MMA's office in Mount Joy. A seasoned professional with 18 years of financial services experience, Shertzer specializes in asset, estate planning, and financial planning. He attends Forrest Hills Church, where he serves on the church council as the stewardship commission director. He also serves on the board of Black Rock Retreat. He and his wife, Kris, have two children.
John Simkins*
John Simkins is a counselor and investment advisor representative with MMA's office in Mount Joy. Previously, he worked with Morgan Stanley and two regional banks. John enjoys talking with people to help them understand their options and make informed choices.
Marcus G. Smucker
Marcus G. Smucker, Bird in Hand, Pa., is professor emeritus of pastor theology at Associated Mennonite Biblical Seminary, Elkhart, Ind., and adjunct professor at Eastern Mennonite Seminary. He currently is training and supervising in spiritual direction for Kairos School for Spiritual Formation. Smucker is a graduate of Eastern Mennonite University, New York Theological Seminary, Union Theological Seminary in Virginia, and the Union Institute. His doctoral studies were in Religion and Psychology. He also is a graduate of the Shalem Institute of Spirituality and a fellow with the American Association of Pastoral Counselors. He is married to Dorothy and they have two children.

Edgar Stoesz served in a variety of senior management roles and has chaired numerous for-profit and nonprofit boards including Habitat for Humanity International and Heifer Project International.
Milt Stoltzfus
Milt Stoltzfus lives in Ephrata, Pa., where he is director of development at Friendship Community. He is a graduate of Lancaster Bible College. Stoltzfus is the brother of two sisters who were born with mental and physical disabilities, and is Chair of the Lancaster Christian Council on Disabilities and a board member of ADnet. He and his wife Lois attend New Beginnings Brethren in Christ Church in Akron.
Sue Verdegem
Sue Verdegem is the senior vice president of finance and administration at Tel Hai Retirement Community in Honey Brook, Pa. She is a graduate of Franklin & Marshall College in Lancaster, Pa. Verdegem and her husband Vincent have one child and attend Glad Tiding Assembly of God Church.
David Warren
David Warren is the managing director for MMA in Lancaster, Pa., leading a group of 32 financial professionals and support staff who represent MMA in our region. He has worked in the field of charitable giving 12 years. Previously, he was a psychotherapist in private practice, and the director of a college career center. Warren is a certified fundraising executive with a master’s degree in clinical psychology and a bachelor’s degree in business. He is a member of the board of directors of New Hope Ministries in Dillsburg, Pa., and of The Susquehanna Valley Planned Giving Council in Harrisburg, Pa. He is a graduate of Leadership Harrisburg Area’s Executive Leadership Program 2008. He attends Gratham Brethren in Christ Church, where he and his wife Lori are deacons and he co-teaches the college age Sunday school class. He and his wife have three children, Matt, Kayla, and Emily.

Justin G. Weber
Justin G. Weber is an associate with Pepper Hamilton LLP, concentrating his practice in commercial litigation. Before joining Pepper in 2005, Justin practiced state and local tax litigation. He is a graduate of Goshen (Ind.) College and a magna cum laude graduate of Dickinson School of Law, Pennsylvania State University. Weber has been a member of both the James S. Bowman and Cumberland County American Inns of Court and also has served as an adjunct faculty member in the trial advocacy program at the Dickinson School of Law.
Jane Weigel
Jane Weigel lives in Lancaster, Pa., and is a registered nurse at Body Tune. She graduated from Lancaster General Hospital School of Nursing and from Millersville University. She has worked in pediatrics, home health, traveler’s health, and currently works with children and teens struggling with their weight. Weigel and her husband have four children and are members of Lampeter Church of the Brethren.
Kim Wittel
Kim Wittel is the executive director of Love INC of Lancaster County. She earned her bachelor’s and master’s degrees from the Univeristy of Illinois, Champaign-Urbana. Wittel served 20 years on the staff of Lancaster County Council of Churches prior to joining Love INC. She and her husband Ivan attend St Peter’s Lutheran Church in Neffsville.
